Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the head office of Huawei Corporation in Shenzhen, a meeting was held between ULearning CEO Christina Ng Siok Har and Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Bobur Rakhimov.

The concept of “Smart Education”, developed jointly with Huawei Corporation and ULearning, and the capabilities of the educational process management system (LMS) “Ulearning”, which is an integral part of this concept, were discussed at the meeting.

As part of the negotiations, the issue of joint development of a program for creating a “Smart Education Hub” in Uzbekistan until 2030 was considered.

Christina Ng Siok Har has also been invited to join the ministry’s Artificial Intelligence Council.

Ulearning is a strategic partner of Huawei Corporation and provides its solutions based on the Smart Education project. Its ULearning Learning systems Management System" and "U-Class Smart Classroom Solutions", based on artificial intelligence, are used in more than 1000 educational institutions with more than 10 million users.

In addition, an agreement was reached to strengthen cooperation in the field of digitalization of education between the Center for the Development of Digital Education Technologies under the Ministry and Ulearning, introduce new technologies and services, improve the qualifications of authorized digital technology managers (Chief Digital Offices) in higher educational institutions, organize seminars and trainings for ICT specialists.

Following the meeting, the parties signed a memorandum of cooperation.
