Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbaeva met with the Secretary of State for Gender Equality, Equal Opportunities and Diversity of Belgium Marie-Colline Leroy.

The negotiations were based on the development of bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belgium, including the activation of mutual cooperation through specialized women's organizations.

The parties exchanged views on exchanging experience in this area and establishing cooperation in improving legislation in this area.

Marie-Colline Leroy highly appreciated the reforms being implemented to protect the rights and interests of women and ensure gender equality at the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan.

The Chairperson of the Senate invited Marie-Colline Leroy to the Asian Women's Forum, which is planned to be held in our country this year.
