The agency said that MFERIT signed a memorandum of cooperation with Cambridge University and Oxford University of Great Britain. The British universities will attract investors and modern technologies for creation of Technology Park.

The memorandum envisages creation of joint venture, which will construct Technology Park in Tashkent center within five years. The park will locate at 230,000 square meters. The constituent documents will be inked in the first half of 2011.

The park will include modern laboratories, offices and production shops. It is also planned construction of trade and entertainment center, hotels with conference halls, as well as houses for employees of Technology Park.

The project is aimed at creating favourable conditions for developing industry of export-oriented programming, development other export capacities based on new and high technologies, etc.
