The Government of Uzbekistan approved proposals of the Economy Ministry, Almalyk Mining and Metallurgy Combine (AGMK) and Uzstroymaterialy on implementation of investment project “Organization of capacities on production of Portland cement and white cement in Jizzakh region” with the capacity of 350,000 tonnes of white cement a year (or 760,000 tonnes of gray cement) on 7 July 2012.

According to the resolution, in the result of direct negotiations, the agreement on signing of contract between AGMK and DAL TEKNIK MAKINA TICARET VE SANAYI A.S. (Turkey) on development of working documentation of technologic part, supply and assembly of equipment, conducting construction-assembly and start-and-adjustment works on “turnkey” basis.

The document said that AGMK is responsible for implementation of the project, targeted and effective use of loan resources.

The Government of Uzbekistan exempted project from payment of customs payments for imported materials, vehicles, equipment and spare parts, technical and project documentation, which are not produced in Uzbekistan, till 1 July 2014.

DAL TEKNIK MAKINA TICARET VE SANAYI A.S. was also exempted from payment of income tax, levied in Uzbekistan.
