Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan will invest US$18.3 million in the construction of a warehouse terminal in the free industrial zone (FIZ) of Poti, Georgia, reports Smart Press agency.
David Ebralidze, Director of the FIZ, stated that the project will be implemented in three phases.
In the first phase, a warehouse for frozen products will be constructed. Then, a covered warehouse with an area of 5,000 square meters will be built. In the third phase, an 8,000-square-meter warehouse for bulk goods, along with a terminal for oversized and containerized cargo, will be constructed.
It is worth noting that in July 2023, Uzbekistan signed an agreement for the long-term lease of Georgian terminals and warehouses.
