The company said it is planning to buy 10 diesel locomotives from Kolomen diesel locomotives construction plant. Uzbekistan Temir Yollari already purchased two diesel locomotives, which are exploited in express routes.

Russian diesel locomotives have 4,000 horse-powers and can run as fast as 160 km per hour. The company said locomotives also use less fuel compared to existing fleet of the Uzbek monopoly.
