Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A delegation of representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the International Islamic Academy, the Muslim Board, the Union of Chefs of Uzbekistan visited the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation.

During the visit, the delegation of Uzbekistan met with the chairman of the State Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan, Sergei Ivanov. During the meeting, a number of issues were discussed, such as prospects for cooperation in the field of pilgrimage and gastronomic tourism, training and advanced training of personnel for this area, enhancing cooperation between non-governmental non-profit organizations, promotion, as well as the arrival of tourists to Uzbekistan through the organization of charter flights from Kazan.

After that, a presentation of the tourism potential of Uzbekistan, as well as B2B meetings between tour operators of the two sides, took place in the conference hall of the Mirage Hotel in Kazan. The events were attended by about 70 tour operators of the Republic of Tatarstan, the necessary agreements were reached on mutual cooperation between the parties.

“We all know about the sharp increase in the number of tourists visiting Uzbekistan in recent years, and the residents of Tatarstan are also among them. We also believe that positive trends will continue in Uzbekistan this year. Undoubtedly, the direction of cultural, historical, gastronomic tourism, as well as pilgrimage tourism will be interesting not only for the residents of Tatarstan. " He also called on local tour operators to actively cooperate with Uzbek colleagues.

After that, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports held a presentation of outbound tourism. Within the framework of the event, great interest in Tatarstan was aroused by the master class of the famous calligrapher Khabibulla Salekh.

In addition, at the initiative of the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Kazan, a cultural program was demonstrated with the participation of our compatriots in Tatarstan.

It should be noted that these events taking place in Russian cities are carried out in accordance with the Presidential Decree "On measures for the further development of domestic and outbound tourism in the Republic of Uzbekistan" and the order of the Cabinet of Ministers "On additional measures for the development of domestic and outbound tourism" programs for the development of domestic and outbound tourism in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
