Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Uzbekistan has expressed its support for all efforts, including the U.S. initiative, aimed at achieving a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. This was stated by the press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Akhror Burkhanov.

He emphasized that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan is closely monitoring the situation in the Gaza Strip, where clashes have led to civilian casualties, including women and children.

"This situation is of deep concern," noted the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan calls for resolving conflicts exclusively through peaceful means and utilizing all available diplomatic resources, he added.

"International efforts to resolve the crisis peacefully are of particular importance. We welcome all efforts by countries, including the U.S. initiative, to achieve a ceasefire, release hostages, and restore peace," the representative of Uzbekistan’s foreign ministry stressed.

"We urge all parties to exercise restraint, comply with international law, refrain from violence, and prevent further casualties among the civilian population," he concluded.
