Uzbekistan studies experience of Bashkiriya in forestry
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Management of Uzbekistan, which is responsible for forestry management, paid an official visit to Bashkiriya (Russia).

The main aim of the visit is to exchange experience in forestry. The Uzbek delegation included representatives of state bodies and heads of farms.

During the meeting, the sides discussed general forestry issues, including rehabilitation of forests, the Ministry of Forestry of Bashkiriya said.

Deputy Forestry Minister of Bashkiriya Rishat Sharafeev said that Bashkiriya annually conducts reconstructs forests at 10,400 hectares, of which 70% of them are artificial forest reconstruction.

The Uzbek delegation was also interested in breeding saplings. It was said that 100 forest farms in Bashkiriya produce 100 million saplings a year.

The delegation of Uzbekistan visited Ufa lemon farm and Forestry College, Forest Fire Center, as well as state unitary enterprises of Zilair and Burzyan districts. They also visited forest farms.
