Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of Uzbekistan and Korea Importers Association organized the event.

The meeting was aimed at further developing bilateral trade-economic and investment cooperation between two states.

Representatives of ministries and departments, companies and firms of Uzbekistan and South Korea, responsible for foreign economic relations, investments, machinery, mining, construction, chemistry and pharmaceuticals, participated at the seminar.

The participants exchanged opinion on further developing cooperation in business area of Uzbekistan and South Korea, UzA reported.

Chairperson of Korea Importers Association Lee Ju Tae said that the main aim of the visit is to establish important production of machinery, light industry, construction, and food to South Korea.

After the business-seminar, businesses of Uzbekistan and South Korea participated at cooperation exchange. The sides discussed issues of developing relations and implementation of mutual beneficial projects.

According to official data, currently 359 joint venture with South Korean investments operate in Uzbekistan and over 84 Korean companies have representative offices in Uzbekistan. They work in such spheres as machinery, trade, chemistry, light industry, metal processing, pharmaceuticals, tourism, services.
