Uzbekistan, South Korea create IT business alliance

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea are creating an IT business alliance.

IT Park Uzbekistan and the Korean Institute of International Industrial Cooperation (KIIIC) signed an agreement to create an Uzbek-Korean IT business alliance.

The alliance aims to attract outsourcing orders from Korean IT companies to Uzbekistan, accelerate the opening of offices of Korean companies in Uzbekistan and develop practical cooperation in this area.

The signed document will also strengthen ties between the technology industries of the two countries.

According to the agreement, joint IT representative offices will be opened in Korea and Uzbekistan to increase the export of Uzbekistan’s IT services to the Korean market, negotiate with companies and promote Uzbekistan as a new outsourcing destination.

The alliance will provide practical assistance to Uzbek companies interested in promoting their projects and services in the Korean market.

As part of the event, Seoul Digital Foundation and Miso Information Technology became the first companies participating in the IT business alliance.

The ceremony, organized in Seoul, was attended by representatives of six Korean IT associations, including the Korea Institute of International Industrialization Cooperation (KIIIC), the Korea Software Association (KOSA), the Korea Service Industry Institute (KSI), the Korea Information Technology Service Industry Association ( ITSA), Korea Science and Industry Association (RNDIA), Korea Educational Technology Association (KETIA), Seoul Digitalization Foundation (SDF), Gyeongbuk Technology Park, as well as IT enterprises such as BizData, Miso Info Tech, SonoArchi, Sangjin CNT, KoMapper and others showing interest in Uzbekistan.

The Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov also took part in the event.
