President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution “On simplification of visa procedures for citizens of the Turkish Republic” on 21 October 2017.
The document was adopted in order to enhance political, trade-economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey.
State Committee on Tourism of Uzbekistan said that the resolution will serve to improve procedures for issuing visas and create more favorable conditions for Turkish citizens, planning to visit Uzbekistan for business and tourist purposes.
According to the document, Turkish citizens, who plan to visit Uzbekistan for business purposes, will be able to obtain multiple visas for up to one year within 3 working days (not counting the day of reception of documents) at foreign institutions of Uzbekistan.
At the same time, the head of Uzbekistan abolished demand of invitation from the legal entity in Uzbekistan, submitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
Citizens of Turkey, planning to visit Uzbekistan as tourists, can receive visas for up to a month within 3 working days (excluding the day of receiving documents).
At the same time, requirement of tourist vouchers and invitations from the State Committee for Tourism Development and other tourist organizations of Uzbekistan to receive visa was abolished for Turkish citizens.
