Uzbekistan signs over 100 agreements at international tourism exhibition
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan showcased its tourism potential at the highest level during the MITT-2025 international tourism exhibition, held in Moscow from 18 to 20 March.
The country’s national stand, organized by the Committee for Tourism and the National PR Center, was among the most visited and vibrant at the event. During the exhibition, Uzbekistan signed over 100 agreements aimed at expanding international tourism cooperation.
Uzbekistan was represented by eight leading tour operators, the national airline Uzbekistan Airways, and tourism departments from Samarkand, Surkhandarya, Tashkent, and Navoi regions, as well as the city of Tashkent. Participants introduced unique tourism products, including cultural, historical, and gastronomic tours, attracting significant interest from visitors and business partners.
The national stand became a focal point of the event, offering a rich cultural program. On the first day, guests were welcomed with traditional Uzbek dances and presentations on the country’s diverse tourism offerings, from ancient Silk Road cities to nature reserves and modern resorts.
"Uzbekistan has been among the top 10 most popular destinations for Russian tourists for several years. Visitors appreciate our rich historical heritage, hospitality, and unique culture. I am confident that the agreements signed at the exhibition will open new opportunities for the growth of our tourism sector," said a representative of the Uzbekistan Tourism Committee.
MITT-2025 marked the 30th anniversary of the exhibition, which is recognized as one of the largest global platforms for tourism professionals. This year, it gathered thousands of participants from around the world, reinforcing its status as a key event in the tourism and hospitality industry.
With its rapidly growing tourism sector, Uzbekistan continues to strengthen its international presence. The newly signed agreements will play a crucial role in attracting more tourists and expanding cooperation with global partners.
