Uzbekistan showcases its tourism potential at international exhibition in China

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of the Year of Uzbekistan’s Tourism in China, the Guangzhou International Travel Fair 2025 (GITF) is currently taking place in the city of Guangzhou, People’s Republic of China, where Uzbekistan is prominently presenting its tourism potential.

The country’s exhibition features a rich display of its unique historical and cultural heritage, architectural landmarks, as well as national traditions and customs. Tour operators and tourism organizations from the Surkhandarya, Khorezm, and Fergana regions, along with representatives from the city of Tashkent, are showcasing their products and services at the event.

As part of the business program, participants delivered presentations aimed at promoting Uzbekistan’s tourism opportunities, fostering international cooperation, attracting foreign tourists, and encouraging investment in the country’s tourism infrastructure.

The General Consulate of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Guangzhou played an active role in facilitating bilateral meetings and negotiations. During the discussions, preliminary agreements were reached on developing effective mechanisms for cooperation in tourism, cultural exchange, and investment. Special emphasis was placed on organizing mutual visits, participating in joint tourism projects, and promoting Uzbekistan as an attractive destination for Chinese travelers.

The Guangzhou International Travel Fair (GITF) is the largest and most prestigious tourism fair in southern China.

Held annually, it brings together tens of thousands of tourism industry professionals from around the world and serves as a vital platform for strengthening international tourism ties.

The GITF 2025 exhibition will run through 17 May.
