Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbek sambo wrestlers became the second at the World Championship among juniors and youth in the city of Thessaloniki. The Russian national team took first place, and the Ukrainian national team finished in the top three.

The Uzbek sambo wrestlers for the first time took second place in the team event at the World Championship. Previously, the best result of our sambo wrestlers at such a world championship was the third place.

Following the results of the World Championship, Uzbek sambo wrestlers won 6 gold, 3 silver and 8 bronze medals, a total of 17 medals.
