One of the largest parties of smuggled cigarettes was prevented in Andijan region. Law enforcement bodies seized over 7,000 packages of cigarettes for 5.6 million soums. The owner of the cargo was not found. The customs officers detained 7,600 packages of Pine and LD cigarettes.

The customs officers of the region also prevented an attempt to smuggle about 2,500 packages of CLASSIK cigarettes with the cost of 1.5 million soums.

Karakalpakstan customs officers also detained 1,600 packages of cigarettes worth 2.5 million from citizen of neighbouring country. The owner did not show tobacco products in customs declaration.

Currently, the investigations are underway on these cases.
