The press service of the State Customs Committee said that customs officers in Navoi region revealed several violations related to metal smuggling.

During inspection of Maz car, customs officers detained 3 tonnes of metal from citizen F.Akhmedov. Akhmedov said he was planning to sell metals in neighboring states.

Citizen of Navoi region T.Doshanov was stopped when he was attempting to smuggle 1 tonnes of metal to neighboring states.

J.Davronov was arrested during attempt to smuggle 1.1 tonnes of metal dueing inspection of Ford car. Davronov could not present any documents to the goods.

Customs officers also found 6 tonnes of metal during inspection of houses in border regions. The violators were planning to smuggle metals to neighboring states.

Currently, investigations are underway in above-mentioned cases.
