Uzbekistan, Russia discuss development of economic ties
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
An Uzbek-Russian intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation was held in Tashkent on 31 March. This is the 12th session of the commission.
The Russian delegation was led by Vice-Premier Sergey Ivanov, while the Uzbek delegation was headed by the Prime Minister Shavkat Mirziyayev.
Uzbek Prime Minister Shavkat Mirziyayev expressed condolence to relatives and friends of victims of Monday terrorism attack in Moscow on behalf of the Government.
Shavkat Mirziyayev said Russia is one of the largest trade partners of Uzbekistan. He said trade turnover in 2009 comprised US$4.5 billion.
