Retail turnover of trade enterprises made up 4.985 trillion soums in January-September 2009 or rose by 33.6% year-on-year. Share of trade enterprises in total retail trade turnover was 42.6% (37.6% in Jan-Sep 2008).

Retail turnover of trade enterprises in rural area comprised 24.1% in total turnover of trade enterprises in the reporting period.

Trade with agriculture products and cattle at dehkan market rose by 8.3% to 4.059 trillion soums. Share of sales in total trade turnover made up 34.8%.

In January-September 2009, trade turnover of informal sector (clothes and specialized markets) was 2.641 trillion soums or 7% up year-on-year. Share of the informal sector in total retail turnover was 22.6%.
