Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The United States excluded Uzbekistan from the list of countries that are subject to special control in the field of intellectual property protection.

Uzbekistan was included in this list back in 2000.

The presence of the state in this list indicates serious problems with the protection of intellectual property and focuses attention on foreign companies conducting direct investment operations.

Until now, among the Central Asian countries, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan remained on the list.

Over the past five years, systematic work has been carried out in Uzbekistan to simplify procedures for registering intellectual property, provide effective human rights support, accede to international treaties, develop international cooperation, as well as introduce the requirements of the WTO agreement into national legislation.
