Uzbekistan receives invitation to Weifang Hope Cup
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
China Football Association has sent invitation to the Uzbekistan Football Federation to international tournament Weifang Hope Cup.
Weifang Hope Cup will be held in Chinese city of Weifang from 20 to 26 February 2012, the UFF said in its statement.
The tournament is held in three age groups – U-17, U-15 and U-13. Overall, it is expected that 40 teams will participate at the event, of which 30 will be local teams and 18 foreign teams.
Uzbekistan youngster participated in the tournament in 2007 and Ahmad Ubaydullaev’s side claimed the fourth place. Sanat Shikhov became top scorer with 5 goals.
The UFF said that the federation is considering the invitation of the China Football Association.
