Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The fifth batch of the drug Sofosbuvir-400 mg for the treatment of hepatitis C in the amount of 6,720 units was delivered from Egypt to Tashkent, Dunyo news agency reported.

It is noteworthy that during the recovery period until 2025 in Uzbekistan and Egypt, the total figure will reach 800,000 people. units (primarily 40 tons) of the drugs Daclatasvir and Sofosbuvir against hepatitis C, as well as Entecavir against hepatitis B for a total amount of US$4.2 million.

During 2023, part of these drugs, worth a total of US$696 thousand, was gradually sent to Uzbekistan.

A total of 6,720 units of the drug Sofosbuvir-400 mg in 12 boxes will be given to patients at the Research Institute of Virology of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan.

It is noted that for a full course of treatment per patient, 3 packages of Daclatasvir and 3 packages of Sofosbuvir are required.
