Uzbekistan receives 10.8bn soums from privatization
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In the framework of the Programme on Decentralization and Privatization, about 32 objects were privatized in the first three months of 2009, Uzbek State Statistics Committee said.

The largest number of objects was privatized in Tashkent city (21.9% of the total objects privatized in Uzbekistan), Tashkent region (18.7%), Ferghana region (12.5%) and Surkhandarya region (9.3%).

In the structure of privatized state property, the highest share falls to objects of the local authorities (43.7%), Ministry of Agriculture and Water Management (9.4%), Ministry of Health (6.3%) and Ministry of National Education (6.3%).

Receipts of money from privatization and decentralization reached 10.8 billion soums in January-March 2009.

The most part of receipts was received from privatization of objects in Tashkent city (34.8% of total monetary means received from decentralization and privatization), Tashkent region (23%), Samarkand region (15.2%) and Ferghana region (6.4%).
