Uzbekistan Realtors Association to be created
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A group of real estate agencies from Tashkent city and other interested organizations in developing real estate market participated in the meeting on creating Uzbekistan Realtors Association (URA). The meeting was held at the office of SION real estate agency.

The meeting was aimed at signing resolution of the roundtable, which was held a month ago, and creating working group of realtors (WGR) and discussing proposals on the charter of the URA.

The real estate agencies said the current situation in the real estate market, including non-existence of information and firm legal base, created so called “black brokers”. All these pushed the realtors to organize discussions on problematic issues on the real estate market.

This was the second meeting, which was organized in the result of the roundtable titled “Real estate market: current state, perspectives of development and role of professional public organizations in its formation”. That roundtable proposed to create Uzbekistan Real Estate Association.

Large number of the organizations participated at the meeting, including 10 real estate agencies from Tashkent city like SION LLC, LEBED KAPITAL INVEST LLC, FAT-ALLIANCE LLC, TMM-VEKTOR LLC, etc. It is expected that these organizations will become members of the URA.

The working group united legal entities and individuals, who work in real estate market and it will work to form legal base for creating real estate market and favourable conditions for developing the market, formation of the URA, etc.

The meeting discussed new draft law on real estate and underlined that it should be adopted in the established order. The participants considered issues on registration of URA in line with the legislation and discussed draft charter of the organization. The sides underlined that they will continue to discuss charter and submit their proposals on further improvement of the document.

The working group adopted decision on organization of meeting in a month and ensure wide coverage of the issue in mass media.

National Business School of the State Property Committee presented a draft programme on training realtors. The curriculum is designed for 120 hours.

The organizers of the meeting said currently about 40 companies operate in real estate market, but it is difficult to access real number of companies engaged in this sector in Uzbekistan.

The meeting discussed issue of creating working groups in the region and approved the action plan on work with regional realtors, who will also participate in creating the URA and become the members of the organization.
