The company said that the pillars of the railway bridge were ruined on the 30th km of the Galaba-Amuzang railway section because of the explosion on 16 November and in connection with this, the movement of all passenger and freight trains were stopped along the section. At present, investigations into the incident are under way.
Despite this, Uzbekistan Temir Yollari continues to receive cargo trains from the neighbouring railway administrations bound for the Khatlon section of the Tajik railways. As of today, the number of these wagons exceeded 270, which adversely affects the operational performance of the Uzbek railways.
In order to avoid the halt of wagons with national economic goods sent to Tajik consumers, the Uzbek railways leadership repeatedly informed its Tajik colleagues on the readiness to transit these wagons into Tajikistan through the inter-state hub Quduqli.
However, the Tajik railways company has not yet responded to the telegrams of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari, the Uzbek company said.
