Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan national team progressed to knockout stage of the AFC Asian Cup in the UAE, defeating Turkmenistan with a 4-0 score in the second round of the Group F.

Javokhir Sidikov opened the score on 17 minutes of the match, while Eldor Shomurodov doubled the lead of Uzbekistan after seven minutes.

On 40 minutes of the game, Jaloliddin Masharipov netted the third of Uzbekistan. Two minutes later, Shomurodov recorded his brace.

In other match of the group, Japan clinched a 1-0 victory over Oman. In the result, both Uzbekistan and Japan advanced to next stage, collecting six points.
