Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In January-February 2024, Uzbekistan increased the production of passenger cars by more than 2.04 times compared to the same period in 2023, reaching 53,370 vehicles, the Statistics Agency said.

In January-February, UzAuto Motors produced 16,067 Cobalt cars (growth rates increased 2.1 times compared to the same period in 2023), 7,361 Gentras (42.3% increase), 11,752 Damas (growth by 24.5%), 6,541 – Tracker (an increase of 6.0 times) and 5,357 – Onix (an increase of 47.8%).

In the period under review, 2,004 Chery cars were also produced (an increase of 2.4 times), 4,112 of the KIA brand (an increase of 3.2 times), 38 of the Exeed brand and 135 of the Haval brand.

Also, in Uzbekistan in January-February 2024, 3,448 specialized passenger cars were produced (a decrease of 8.2%).
