In nine months of 2012, within 1,074 localization projects, goods for 6.2 trillion soums were produced, which grew by 25.2% year-on-year, the statement said.
In the reporting period, Uzbekistan launched production of 957 new types of products, the material said.
In the result, estimated effect from import-replacement made up over US$3.3 billion. Share of exports in total volume of produced localized goods rose from 23.9% in January-September 2011 and 25.3% in the same period of 2012.
In the result of implementation of programme on increasing industrial potential of regions, food and non-food consumer goods were produced within 253 projects. Production of consumer goods rose by 7.5%, food products – 7% and non-food goods – 7.9%.
Uzbekistan increased production of cotton-fiber and fabrics, stockinet, hosiery, leather, natural tea, soft drinks, butter, tinned fruit, vegetables and fish, air-conditioners, irons, energy saving lamps, etc. The country also launched production of washing machines, microwave ovens, gas-stoves, vacuum cleaners, 40 types of medical products, etc.
Measures directed at stimulating on expansion of export potential of industries and regions helped Uzbekistan to increase exports by 12.4% year-on-year. The material said Uzbekistan increased exports of sulphate ammonia, potassium chloride, stove fuel, electricity, copper and copper products, tungsten, trucks and automobiles, cotton-fiber, etc.
Uzbekistan also started to export new types of products such as trucks, automobile spare parts, electronics, sanitary-hygienic goods, chemical products, and others.
