Implementation of the programme on priority directions of development of industry of Uzbekistan for 2011-2015 helped to dynamic growth of such sectors as chemistry and petrochemical (+11.9%), machinery and metal processing (+11.8%), production of construction materials (+9%), medicine (+31.3%) and food (+14.7%) in nine months of 2011.
In particular, the electricity sector produced goods for 2.371 trillion soums (+0.8%), fuel sector – 5.164 trillion soums, ferrous metallurgy – 809.2 billion soums (+5.1%) and non-ferrous metallurgy – 3.416 trillion soums (+2.5%).
The volume of production of goods in chemistry and petrochemical sector made up 1.707 trillion soums (+11.9%) and machinery and metal processing – 4.84 trillion soums (+11.8%).
Timber processing and cellulose-paper industry manufactured goods for 316.9 billion soums (+6.4%), construction material sector – 1.632 trillion soums (+9%), light industry – 3.774 trillion soums (+4.4%), food industry – 4.114 trillion soums (+14.7%) and other sectors – 1.778 trillion soums (+18.6%).
