Uzbekistan produces 69m notebook products in 1H
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Leading polygraph enterprises of Uzbekistan produced 69 million units of notebook products in the first half of 2012.

In particular, they produced 63.5 million 12 page notebooks, 3.45 million units of general notebooks, 0.95 million units of painting notebooks, and 1.1 million units of mark book. The enterprises launched production of school products, which meet requirements of the programme on production of notebook products.

At the same time polygraph creative houses of Uzbekistan and named after Gafur Gulyam increased production of notebook products by 53.1% year-on-year to 29.1 million units.

In January-July 2012, the volume of paper, necessary of notebook production and not produced in Uzbekistan, made up 2,380 tonnes and the government released import of paper from customs payments.

Number of polygraph enterprises in Uzbekistan was 149 in the first years of independence, not their number reached 1,514.

Currently, Uzbekistan has 21 polygraph enterprises, which specialized on production of notebooks. Average annual demand of Uzbekistan in notebooks makes up 120-150 million units.

In 2012, Uzbekistan plans to produce notebooks in the volume of higher than internal demand. Part of goods will be exported to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
