Uzbekistan produced industrial products worth 44.6 trillion soums in January

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to preliminary data, in January 2024, enterprises of Uzbekistan produced industrial products worth 44.6 trillion soums, the index of physical volume of industrial production compared to the same period in 2023 amounted to 116.6%, the Statistics Agency said.

Today, there are 68.7 thousand industrial enterprises operating in Uzbekistan, of which 11.9 thousand (17.4% of the total number of operating enterprises) are in Tashkent, 7.6 thousand (11.1%) are in Ferghana, 7.3 thousand (10.6%) - Tashkent region, 6.1 thousand (8.8%) - Samarkand region and 5.5 thousand (8.0%) - Andijan region.

An analysis of the differentiation of industrial output per capita for January 2024 showed a significant excess of the republican average (1.22 million soums) for Navoi region (8.6 million soums), Tashkent city (2.57 million soums) and Tashkent region (2.48 million soums).

In the structure of production, the largest share falls on manufacturing enterprises (75.7%), the production volume of which amounted to 33.8 trillion soums.

In January 2024, the largest share in the total industrial production in Uzbekistan was Navoi region (20.5%), Tashkent city (17.3%), Tashkent (16.8%), Andijan (6.4%), Ferghana (4.8%) regions.

Compared to the same period in 2023, average industrial production indicators in the republic in January 2024 increased thanks to enterprises in Andijan (207.7%), Jizzakh (180.6%) and Namangan (122.0%) regions.

The volume of products produced by mining and quarrying enterprises in January 2024 amounted to 4.9 trillion soums, or 11.1% of the total industry volume.

In January 2024, manufacturing enterprises produced products worth 33.8 trillion soums, or 75.7% of the total industrial volume.

In the structure of the manufacturing industry, the share of high-tech industries was 1.3% (2.9% in January 2023), medium-high technology - 21.3% (14.9%), medium-low technology - 40.9% (39.9%) and low-tech – 36.6% (42.3%).

In the volume of the manufacturing industry, the share of enterprises for the production, repair, installation of machinery and equipment, production of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers, other finished metal products amounted to 17.7% (physical volume index by January 2023 was 188.9%), metallurgical industry - 30.9% (physical volume index by January 2023 was 106.0%), enterprises producing textiles, clothing, leather products - 19.0% (physical volume index by January 2023 was 109.9%).

In the volume of the manufacturing industry, the share of enterprises producing food, beverages and tobacco products was 14.9% (physical volume index by January 2023 was 99.5%), enterprises producing chemical products, rubber and plastic products - 8.0 % (physical volume index by January 2023 was 111.6%).

In January 2024, the republic produced 124.6 thousand tons of motor gasoline (compared to the corresponding period in 2023, a decrease of 10.8%), 42.4 thousand tons of cotton yarn (an increase of 27.1%), 10. 4 million liters of beer (an increase of 89.8%) and 72.8 thousand tons of flour from soft wheat and spelled (a decrease of 41.5%).

In January 2024, large enterprises of the republic produced 215 trucks (by the corresponding period in 2023, production volume increased by 55.8%).

In January 2024, large enterprises of the republic produced 18.7 thousand units. pneumatic rubber tires for passenger cars (by January 2023, production volume increased 2.7 times).

In January 2024, the share of the metallurgical industry in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 30.9%, the physical volume index increased by 6.0%, and the production volume amounted to 10.44 trillion soums.

At the end of January 2024, the share of other non-metallic mineral products in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 3.8%, the index of physical production volume increased by 29.7%, and the production volume amounted to 1.29 trillion soums.

In January 2024, the share of food products in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 11.5%, the physical volume index was 89.4%, and the total production volume was 3.89 trillion soums.

The volume of products produced by water supply, sewerage, waste collection and disposal enterprises in January 2024 amounted to 0.3 trillion soums (0.6% of the total industry volume).

In January 2024, compared to the corresponding period in 2023, there was an increase in the production of textile waste by 78.7%, services for the removal, transportation of wastewater and their treatment - by 78.0%, services for emptying, cleaning and treatment of cesspools , settling tanks and septic tanks - by 20.3%.

In January 2024, small businesses produced products worth 8.5 trillion soums, the share of which in total production amounted to 19.1%. In January 2023, the share of small businesses in total production was 23.4%.
