Uzbekistan produced 60.31 billion kwh of electricity in the first nine months

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  Uzbekistan increased electricity generation from January to September 2024.

According to the State Statistics Agency, 60.31 billion kWh of electricity was produced in the first nine months of 2024, which is 4.32% more than the same period of last year.

Large enterprises in the country generated 53.22 billion kWh of electricity, a decrease of 6.42% compared to January-September 2023.

At the same time, small businesses significantly increased their production volumes—from 820.8 million kWh in 2023 to 6.97 billion kWh in 2024.

Heat production decreased by 5.75%, totaling 16.54 million Gcal.

Additionally, during the reporting period, 63.5 million cubic meters of gas were produced from underground coal gasification, which is 13.6% more than the same period last year.
