Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced that Uzbekistan produced 1.6 billion kWh of “green” energy in January-June 2024.

During a meeting on 17 July, the president presented economic indicators for the first half of the year. He noted that with the operation of 10 solar and wind power stations with a total capacity of 2.4 GW, Uzbekistan generated 1.6 billion kWh of environmentally friendly energy.

This volume of “green” energy helped save 500 million cubic meters of natural gas.
