Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan, Islam Karimov, congratulated Georgian President on the occasion of Georgia’ Independence Day, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia said.

“In his letter the President of Uzbekistan expressed confidence that relations between Uzbekistan and Georgia based on friendship and mutual benefit principles will deepen and enhance in the future for the benefit of the Uzbek and Georgian peoples,” Georgian Foreign Ministry said.
