Uzbekistan Presents Innovation Projects at “Kelajak uchun” Forum

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has reviewed a presentation of projects selected within the framework of the prospective initiatives forum “Kelajak uchun,” organized to support innovative ideas and engage citizens in the country’s reform process.

As noted during the presentation, one of the key directions of ongoing transformations in Uzbekistan is the creation of effective mechanisms to support initiatives from young people, entrepreneurs, researchers, and active citizens, as well as the integration of their proposals into practical implementation.

The “Kelajak uchun” forum is held in accordance with a presidential decree dated July 14, 2025, “On additional measures to further support promising initiatives in the implementation of reforms.”

To implement the project, a dedicated crowdsourcing platform kelajakuchun was created, allowing citizens to openly submit their ideas and projects for expert review.

This year, the forum prioritized entrepreneurship and employment, ecology, water supply, expansion of green energy use, digitalization, artificial intelligence implementation, improvement of healthcare and education quality, and the enhancement of the judicial and legal system.

According to organizers, more than 1,300 initiatives were submitted after the forum was announced. Preliminary analysis was conducted by the Agency for Strategic Development and Reforms together with the “Businessni rivojlantirish” bank.

In the next stage, projects were reviewed by a council of mentors and sectoral experts in terms of practical relevance, socio-economic impact, scalability, and feasibility. As a result, lists of the top 50 and top 10 most promising initiatives were formed.

On the first day of the forum, an award ceremony was held for authors of projects included in the top 10. Winners received certificates and cash prizes.

Among the initiatives presented to the President were projects on using plastic waste in road construction, creating innovative air purification equipment, providing remote areas with mobile energy units, implementing an automated warning system at pedestrian crossings, and developing a national engineering platform.

It was emphasized that all initiatives are aimed at addressing specific social, environmental, and economic challenges.

For practical implementation, the projects will be assigned to relevant government bodies, including the National Committee for Ecology and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Digital Technologies, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Transport, and the Committee for Automobile Roads.

It was reported that each project will have an individual action plan, and implementation will be under systematic monitoring.

The “Businessni rivojlantirish” bank will also participate in financing the most promising developments and monitoring their execution.

The President stressed the importance of focusing on the practical effectiveness of initiatives, close cooperation with project authors, and transforming promising ideas into viable solutions that bring tangible benefits to society and the economy.

Experts note that the “Kelajak uchun” forum reflects a shift toward a more open model of governance, where citizen initiatives become an important source of innovation and a key tool for national modernization.
