Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 22-25 November, in cooperation with the World Trade Center WTO/UNCTAD, a visit to Uzbekistan by WTO specialists and international experts was organized as part of the country’s accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO).

In accordance with the program of the visit, foreign specialists held a seminar "Compliance with the terms of the sanitary and phytosanitary agreement" for employees of ministries and departments and a training on the topic "The multilateral trading system and the experience of countries that are members of the World Trade Organization" for specialists from regional departments of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade. Seminars and consultation meetings were also organized for representatives of product quality control laboratories.

In addition, a round table was organized with the participation of foreign experts on WTO agreements and global changes in international trade for women entrepreneurs.

Also, international experts V. Kroshe, V. Ognivtsev, X. Ramful and H. Menon held consultation meetings with representatives of ministries and departments involved in economic, fiscal, transport, investment, legal and other practical aspects of the process of Uzbekistan’s accession to the WTO.
