Uzbekistan plans to increase the number of industrial zones with the help of Ostim

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of the Uzbek-Turkish business forum in Ankara, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan Jamshid Kuchkarov held a bilateral meeting with Chairman of the Board of Ostim Orhan Aydin.

At the meeting, opportunities for expanding cooperation in areas such as railways, communications, rubber technologies and energy were discussed. Particular attention was paid to promising areas of cooperation in the development of industrial zones.

The parties considered the possibilities of using Ostim’s experience and resources in creating new industrial zones in Uzbekistan. With the support of Ostim, it is planned to increase the number of industrial zones in the country, which will significantly strengthen the industrial potential of Uzbekistan and promote economic growth in various sectors.

This cooperation aims to stimulate innovation, create new jobs and strengthen bilateral economic relations between Uzbekistan and Turkey.

Ostim, founded in 1967, is one of Ankara’s leading industrial zones. It supports more than 6,200 entrepreneurs from 139 companies and 17 industries, including defense, aviation, rail, medical, communications technology, energy and rubber technology. Ostim’s annual export volume is estimated at US$1.5 billion.
