Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan plans to announce tenders for the modernization and transfer of management of Urgench and Bukhara airports on the basis of public-private partnerships.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution "On additional measures to accelerate the development of the tourism potential of the republic, as well as further increase the number of local and foreign tourists."

The head of Uzbekistan instructed to announce separate tenders for the modernization and transfer of management of Urgench and Bukhara airports by 1 October 2023 based on the terms of public-private partnership for each of them.

At the same time, by the end of 2023, it was instructed to develop a concept and feasibility studies for the project of modernization and transfer to the management of the Namangan airport on the basis of public-private partnership.
