Uzbekistan Plans Joint Production of Imported Products with Rossari Biotech Limited

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held between representatives of JSC “Uzbekneftegaz” and the Indian company Rossari Biotech Limited, a leader in the chemical industry.

The main focus was on the localization and organization of production in Uzbekistan of the chemical reagent methyl diethanolamine (MDEA).

As is known, MDEA is primarily used for the removal of acid gases (CO₂, H₂S) from natural and industrial gases.

Currently, this product is imported into the country. Rossari Biotech Limited has taken the initiative to establish its production using local raw materials, create modern production facilities, open new jobs, train local specialists, fully meet the needs of the domestic market, and export the product to foreign markets.

The investors were provided with detailed information about Uzbekistan’s free economic zones, their infrastructure capacities, tax and customs benefits, as well as government support measures.

As a result of the negotiations, the parties agreed to analyze the proposals and opportunities, based on which additional measures will be taken and priorities for cooperation determined.
