Uzbekistan passenger car production up 2.4 times in 10 years
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In Uzbekistan, the volume of passenger car production has increased significantly over the past ten years. This is evidenced by data from the National Committee on Statistics.
According to preliminary data, 108,769 passenger cars of various brands were produced in the country in January–March 2026.
In 2025, total passenger car production amounted to 457,883 units, which is 267,400 units more than in 2015. In relative terms, this represents a 2.4-fold increase.
The production dynamics show steady growth in the sector since 2016, with the exception of certain periods of decline. In 2015, 190,500 cars were produced; in 2016 — 92,700; in 2017 — 145,200; in 2018 — 225,800; in 2019 — 278,000; in 2020 — 285,200; in 2021 — 242,200; in 2022 — 341,200; in 2023 — 426,100; in 2024 — 435,200; and in 2025 — 457,900 units.
Thus, according to statistical data, the country’s automotive industry has demonstrated significant growth compared to the indicators of a decade ago.
