Uzbekistan participates at session of UNWTO Executive Council
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
A delegation of Uzbekistan led by chairperson of Uzbektourism Farrukh Rizaev participated at the 95th session of executive committee of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) on 27-29 May. The session was held in Belgrade, Serbia.
Uzbekistan has been member of the UNWTO since 1993. Uzbekistan is a member of the UNWTO Executive Committee till 2015.
The delegation held meetings with the UNWTO officials and representatives of national tourism administration of Italy, Argentina, Germany, Egypt, Spain, Korea, Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria and other members of the organizations to discuss further cooperation in tourism sector.
The UNWTO executive council is responsible for executions of tasks of the organization and its budget. The council meets at least twice a year.
