Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  In anticipation of the winter holidays, students from higher and secondary specialized educational institutions in Uzbekistan will receive discounts on domestic transportation. The announcement was made by the press services of "Uzbekiston Temir Yullari" and Uzbekistan Airways.

The annual New Year promotion by "Uzbekiston Temir Yullari" will run from 23 December 2024, to 10 January= 2025. During this period, students can purchase tickets at a 50% discount on standard fares. However, the discount does not apply to high-comfort cars (SV/VIP) or high-speed Afrosiyob trains.

Similarly, Uzbekistan Airways will offer students discounts of up to 50% on economy-class fares for all domestic flights. This promotion will be valid from 23 December 2024, to 7 January 2025.

To qualify for the discount, students must present proof of enrollment in a state educational institution. The discount applies exclusively to the base passenger fare and does not include taxes, fees, or additional charges.

The winter break for university and college students will begin on 25 December 2024, and end on 7 January 2025.
