Uzbekistan not to play friendly match against Romania

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan national team on football will not play against Romania in friendly match on 10 August 2011, the direct of UFF National Teams Center Asqar Tolibjanov said.

Asqar Tolibjanov said that the sides were holding negotiations on friendly match. Romania want to hold match in Vienna, while the Uzbek side was planning to hold it in Tashkent.

Uzbekistan coach Vadim Abramov said that at the end the sides failed to reach agreement. He added that Uzbekistan will not play any friendly matches till the qualification match against Syria within the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Uzbekistan will play against Syria on 2 September 2011 within the third round of 2014 FIFA World Cup qualification.
