Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In early March, Uzbekistan’s junior ice hockey team made its debut in the World Junior Championship in Thailand. The debut was a great success — the team won the Division III B title, not only securing the championship but also earning promotion to Division III A.

Now, a similar challenge awaits the senior national team. From April 13 to 19, 2025, Uzbekistan will make its debut in the Division IV World Championship, which will take place in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia.

Uzbekistan will compete against teams from Armenia, Iran, Kuwait, Indonesia, and Malaysia. All of these teams have previously participated in World Championships, with Uzbekistan being the only newcomer to the tournament.

The national team will feature the young champions from the U18 team, who will be reinforced by experienced players, some of whom have previously represented the "Humo" hockey club.
