Uzbekistan may host FIFA Congress
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Uzbekistan can host the FIFA Congress. Uzbekistan Football Federation (UFF) submitted application to the FIFA to host Congress of the body in Tashkent in 2013.
The document includes information about Tashkent city and hotels. The federation said hosting country should have corresponding hotels to host Congress as representatives of football associations participate in the event.
Italy, Russia, the UAE, Denmark, Hungary, Singapore and Honduras also submitted their applications to host the Congress.
Uzbekistan also applied to FIFA to get right to host 2012 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, 2014 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup and 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
