Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution on additional measures to meet the demand of the population for cars.

According to the document, until 1 January 2026, the following rates of customs duties are introduced for cars, from the date of production of which no more than a year has passed, with an engine capacity of up to 1200 cubic meters. cm (TN VED code 8703 21 10, 8703 22 10 and 8703 31 10):

up to 1000 cubic cm - 0% (now - 15% + 0.4 US dollars / cubic cm);

from 1000 to 1200 cubic cm - 5% (now - 15% + 0.6 US dollars / cubic cm).

It is expected that the total amount of customs duties for cars with engines up to 1000 cubic cm will decrease from the current 39-43% to 19-23%, with a volume of 1000-1200 cubic cm - from 44-52% to 30-36%.
