The delegation of General Council of Dordogne Department and French Ambassador to Uzbekistan Francois Gauthier participated at the opening ceremony.

Francois Gauthier participated in events dedicated to the 676th anniversary of Amir Temur and at the opening ceremony of the Uzbek-French project on restoration of pool tiles of Oq Saroy.

The project, which will transfer knowledge, train youth and promote tourism potential of the region, characterizes rich French-Uzbek cooperation in rehabilitation of heritage and unique places of Uzbekistan.

The embassy said that France is on the first on number of western tourists, who visit Uzbekistan, and this helps to direct about US$50 million to economy of Uzbekistan.
