Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The armed forces of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan conducted joint military exercises, "Hamkorlik-2024," at the "Forish" training ground in the Jizzakh region, as reported by the press service of Kazakhstan's Ministry of Defense.

In the first phase of the exercises, a small armed group crossed the state border using mountain trails and took positions in local residents' homes. The actions of these militants were intended to distract attention and create conditions for further operations in other areas.

During the second phase, the simulated enemy concentrated significant forces near the borders of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, preparing for a possible invasion.

Military units from both countries practiced counter-diversion tactics and measures to prevent attacks on strategic facilities.

At the conclusion of the exercises, servicemen who distinguished themselves during the operation were awarded for their performance.
