Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 9 February, the Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov held a trilateral working meeting with the Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Bolat Akchulakov and Chairman of the Management Board of Gazprom PJSC Alexey Miller.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of trilateral cooperation in the gas industry. At the meeting, issues of Russian natural gas supplies to Uzbekistan through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan were discussed, in particular, the results of a preliminary technical inspection conducted by a trilateral working group, existing supply opportunities, as well as the implementation of the road map signed in January this year.

As a result of this meeting, an agreement was reached to accelerate the next stage of trilateral studies, as well as to organize the trilateral meeting as soon as possible.

In January 2023, Gazprom signed bilateral roadmaps for cooperation in the gas industry with the Government of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan.
