Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The national judo team of Uzbekistan left for Tokyo yesterday night. The delegation, headed by the Deputy Chairman of the NOC and the head of the Judo Federation of Uzbekistan Azizjon Kamilov, has already arrived in Maizuru.

The Uzbek team, led by Ilias Iliadis and Nelly Kiyamova, until 19 July will conduct training in the port city of Maizuru, Kyoto prefecture. On 19 July, the participants of the Olympiad will go to Tokyo, and their sparring partners will return to Tashkent.

The Tokyo Olympics will begin with the performance of judokas. On the first day of the Games, we will be rooting for the silver medalist of the World Championship Sharofiddin Luftullaev (-60 kg).
